Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, November 17 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, the right lanes and shoulders on Rt. 35 northbound and southbound will be closed on the bridge over the Navesink River. One lane will be maintained in each direction.

The closures are necessary to position a crane to install piles. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays when traveling through the work zone.
The is work is part of a $2.6 million federally funded project that will install bridge fenders on the Rt. 35 bridge over the Navesink River in Middletown and Red Bank, Monmouth County. Fenders are a safety feature to allow boaters to safely navigate the waterway under the bridge. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2026.
