The dog was captured around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12 behind the Exxon station in Belford, Middletown Twp. announced.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown Health Department confirmed Thursday morning, April 12, that Ria, the dog who has been on the loose since last Thursday, is now home safely with her owner.

As Patch reported a few days ago, this is the rescue dog from Sarajevo that Middletown resident Kristine Ling brought over last week. Ling had just picked her up from Dulles airport in Washington, and she escaped when Ling brought her back to Middletown last week.

The dog is not aggressive, but was terrified and was running wild all over the area throughout the weekend of April 7/8, including in and around heavy traffic on Highway 35.
