See The Celebration As Middletown North Ice Hockey Are State Champs
You have to see the on-ice victory celebration as Middletown North ice hockey clinched a historic win Monday:
NEWARK, NJ — In a historic win, the Middletown High School North varsity ice hockey team won the state championship title in the NJSIAA Public B final Monday.
The championship game was played at 3:30 Monday afternoon at the Prudential Center in Newark. Middletown North defeated Chatham 3-2 for the win.
It is the first time since 2015 that Middletown North won a state title and only the second time in the school's history. Christopher Imbriale scored the winning goal in the third period, NJ.com reported. Jack Turner and Joey Wall also scored.

Middletown North varsity ice hockey team is currently soaking up the accolades Tuesday morning:
"Congratulations to the Middletown High School North Hockey Team for winning the New Jersey B-State Championship. What an incredible accomplishment and a true testament to a season of hard work teamwork!" wrote former Middletown Township Committeeman and now Monmouth County Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger on Facebook.
"What an unbelievable moment for Middletown — the State Championship is back after a great North victory!," Middletown Mayor Tony Perry posted to Facebook Monday evening after the game.
"The Middletown HS North Hockey team is the State Champion!," posted Middletown school board president Frank Capone. "It's not by accident; it's not by chance; the Middletown HS North Hockey team is an exceptional bunch of players who should be incredibly proud. Congratulations, Coach Wood and the entire staff, for an incredible year; well done!"
