MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Here's everything the Middletown Township Public Library has planned for children and teens this September.

From story times and teen adventure nights, to the library's Fall Fest on Sept. 20, there's a lot planned. Registration is required for most programs at mtpl.org.

Cards for a Cause – September 3, 3 - 5 p.m.: Drop in to make cards for Middletown seniors. Volunteer hours will be offered for each card with a limit of five cards for five hours. For ages 13-18.

Tween Book Club Info Session & Book Voting – September 10 at 6 p.m.: Join us to vote on fall reads, meet fellow book lovers and share your favorite summer books! Copies of the chosen October book will be available after the meeting. Small snacks provided. For ages 9–12.

Teen Mario Kart Night – Wednesday, September 10 at 7 p.m.: Join an exciting evening of Mario Kart racing for ages 12-18 in the Teen Room.

Gymboree for walkers or babies – September 11 at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.: Gymboree of Red Bank will offer gym classes for toddlers and babies.

Read to a Dog – September 11 at 4 p.m. and September 15 at 6 p.m.: Improve the literacy skills of children by reading for ten minutes to a certified therapy dog. Four sessions available on each date. For independent readers in grades K-5.

SLP Musically with Miss Kat – September 15 at 4:30 p.m.: Join Miss Kat for a fun, free sing-along for children ages 4–9, including AAC users! Enjoy Laurie Berkner songs, camp favorites, and originals, all in a music-making session designed for kids of all abilities.

Stuffed animal storytime and sleepover – September 16 at 6:30 p.m.: Drop off your stuffed pal for a sleepover at the library! We’ll read them a bedtime story, tuck them in and share their overnight adventures when you pick them up the next day. Pajamas optional!

Bayshore Family Success Center Back-to-School Craft – September 17 at 3:30 p.m.: Kick off the school year with a fun notebook and folder-decorating session! For grades K–5.

Teen Anime Club – September 18 at 4 p.m.: Come meet other anime fans! Talk about your favorite manga, draw characters, watch anime and more! This club is open to ages 10+

Middletown Public Library Fall Fest – September 20 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Join us for a fun-filled day at the library! Watch a magical bubble show, make your own apple cider, and for teens & tweens, play in Rolling Video Games’ mobile gaming theater. Plus, enjoy more games, music and fall crafts for the whole family! All ages welcome.

Cracking the Code: Why the SAT & ACT Still Matter – September 22 at 6:30 p.m.: Huntington Learning Center presents an informative session for high school students and families on the evolving role of standardized tests in college admissions. Learn their strategic value, get practical prep tips and discover how to make informed choices to maximize opportunities.

Penguin Pointers – September 23 at 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.: Meet one of Jenkinson’s Aquarium’s famous feathered friends and discover fun facts about them and their wild cousins. For ages 3+.

Dungeons and Dragons – September 24 at 6 p.m.: Join another one-shot adventure of humor and hijinks, daring rescues and fierce combat! For ages 13-18.

Community Leader Storytime with Mayor Tony Perry – September 27 at 10 a.m.: Join us for a special storytime with Mayor Tony Perry! Kids will hear fun stories, learn what a mayor does and meet Mayor Perry in person.
