TRAFFIC ALERT: Delays Expected on Hubbard Avenue in Middletown

Drivers in Middletown will want to avoid Hubbard Avenue if possible this week, according to the Township Committee.

On Tuesday, December 30, Monmouth County construction crews started alternating traffic on Hubbard Avenue. Flagmen will continue to direct traffic on Wednesday, December 31 and Friday, January 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

According to the Township, the work is being done by Monmouth County in preparation of the January 5, 2015 closure of the West Front Street Bridge.

Hubbard Avenue at Shadow Lake

Periodic closings and delays with one-way traffic on Hubbard Avenue at Shadow Lake near the spillway is expected weekdays until January 2015. This is a Monmouth County project related to emergency repair of the bridge. Detours are currently in place, and the Township asks drivers to plan alternate routes.

West Front Street

According to the Township, the paving of West Front Street from Middletown-Lincroft Road to Half-Mile Road has been rescheduled until Spring 2015.
