WATCH: Drivers Rescued Near Middletown From Flood Waters
Authorities rescued two people in separate incidents who drove through a flooded area in Sea Bright this morning.

Tuesday’s nor’easter off the East coast has caused widespread flooding and prompted rescues in Monmouth County.
Authorities rescued two separate women in Sea Bright Tuesday morning, according to the Asbury Park Press.
The first woman attempted to drive through the flooded 1400 block of Ocean Avenue. A second woman was rescued shortly after who became stuck in her Volkswagen Beetle in the same area.

According to the National Weather Service, Monmouth County has received over two and a half inches of rain so far, with at least another two inches predicted.
In western Monmouth County, a flood advisory remains in effect until 4:15 p.m., as well as warnings for coastal areas.

“These rains will likely produce minor flooding of roadways into the afternoon,” the NWS said in a recent alert. “For locales right along the coast, higher than normal tides will also affect how the rainfall drains.”
The NWS has also issued a high wind warning until 4 p.m. today. Winds are north to northeast at 20 to 30 miles per hour,with gusts up to 50 to 55 miles per hour.
The strongest winds will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
