KEANSBURG, NJ — The unconscious woman pulled from the Keansburg house fire Friday morning remains in critical condition at Staten Island University Hospital, according to Keansburg Mayor George Hoff.
Three children had to jump from the second-floor window of the burning home on Seeley Avenue Friday morning, and firefighters found a woman, who police presume is the child's mother, inside the home. Firefighters found her unconscious in a back room of the home.
They pulled her out of the burning home and immediately started CPR, and the woman was airlifted to a hospital.

"They did get a pulse," Hoff said previously. "We don't know yet if they were able to save her."
The children are recovering, but one of the police officers who caught them is still being evaluated for serious injuries to his arm, which may be permanent.

"It was thanks to the men and women of the Keansburg Police Department that these people were pulled alive out of the home," Hoff said previously.
The fire broke out at approximately 10 a.m. at a home on the 40 block of Seeley Avenue. Keansburg Police received the first 911 call at 10:13 a.m. from people driving by. The first Keansburg Police and firefighters who got to the scene found three children, ranging in ages from 5 to 12, screaming from the second-floor windows, said the mayor. Their exit down the stairs was blocked by the fire.
The three children all jumped into the arms of Keansburg Police and firefighters. All three children were safely caught, but all had to be taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters then found the woman unconscious on the floor in a back room inside the home. Firefighters pulled her out, immediately did CPR and she was airlifted to a hospital.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
