23 Millburn Swimmers Compete in Summer Swim Meet

Despite the morning thunderstorms, this year’s North Jersey Summer Swim League Meet of Champions was held on July 26 hosted by the Livingston Aquajets. 

Qualifying swimmers from their Divisional Championships, held days earlier competed as the sun emerged late morning.  Millburn had 23 swim team members in force at the meet.

Leading the way for Millburn was Ben Lin, who took first place overall in all of his events which included the 13-19 boys 100M individual medley (1:02.78), 15-19 boys 50M freestyle (24.90), and 15-19 boys 50M butterfly (27.94).

Placing overall second and third were Zoe Segal: second place 8U girls 25M breaststroke (25.12); Kate Madrawski: second place 9-10 girls 25M freestyle (15.00) and third place 25M backstroke (18.55); Kyle Yih: second place 9-10 boys 25M freestyle (14.94); Allen Zhu: third place 9-10 boys freestyle (15.62); Sterling Kinsale, Mark Madrawski, Justin Mon, Kyle Yih: third place 12U boys 100M freestyle relay (1:06.84).
