3 Essex County Men Win Awards In Amateur Sports Competition

Three lucky Essex County golfers won a free parking space in this contest, played at each of 3 golf courses in the county.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Recently, the county of Essex held an amateur golf tournament for residents in which they had to play a round at each Essex County public golf course – Francis

Byrne Golf Course in West Orange, Weequahic Golf Course in Newark, and Hendricks Field Golf Course in Belleville.

The last course was the site of the championship tournament on Saturday.

The Winners Were:

  • William Cannon from Belleville won the Amateur Division with a three-day score of 215.
  • Tom McDonald from West Caldwell won the Super Seniors Division with a score of 227.
  • Chris Marbaix from South Orange won the Seniors Division with a score of 235.

The winners receive their own parking space at the course of their choosing. They also received a plaque.
