New Clothing Store In Short Hills Mall Gives Opening Date

MILLBURN, NJ — The Australian clothing brand Zimmermann will begin selling its fashions at the Short Hills Mall when it opens its newest store on Saturday, Dec. 17.

The store will be the 20th in the U.S. for the brand. The company recently opened shops in Southampton, N.Y., Tampa and Naples, Fla., Houston, Texas, and the Miami Design District in Florida.

The Zimmermann Short Hills store is approximately 1,712 square feet, said the company.

A spokesperson said, "Aspiring to create a store offering an oasis-like sense of calm within a shopping mall, the layout of the store was strategically designed with rooms of varying scales, all leading through to an expansive lounge space and complemented by a sky-high ceiling."

The store will also feature custom-designed terrazzo floors and mosaic tiles, balanced by glossy-green wardrobes which provide a home for each collection" and "a foiled room, which is a nod towards Andy Warhol’s Silver Factor."

Brand co-founder Nicky Zimmermann said, “The space is understated and pared back but with a sense of fun - bringing some unique Australian touches, which is such an integral part of each one of our stores. I adore the mixture of contemporary pieces from both American and Australian artists, in juxtaposition to the vintage furniture.”

The store will be located at the mall at 1200 Morris Turnpike, Short Hills, NJ 07078 and will open with the Resort 23 collection, a spokesperson said. Find out more about the brand here.
