Chamber of Commerce Seeking Board Candidates

Nominations for the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce will be online.

The Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce is seeking candidates to be considered for serving on the 2013-2014 Board of Directors.

Candidates who are interested in furthering the Chamber’s mission with their time, energy, expertise and passion should complete the required on-line survey by March 30.

“Our Board of Directors is a hard-working, passionate group of business leaders, Ileana Martin-Novoa, President of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce said. "We are putting our nominations online to create a transparent nomination process.  Serving on the Board of Directors allows members from the business community to have a voice in Chamber policies while serving this community we want to see thrive.”

In addition to attending regular monthly board meetings, each member of the Board of Directors is required to serve on at least one committee. Committees include: Marketing, Fundraising, Finance/Budget, Membership/Volunteers and Special Events.

The Chamber’s Nominating Committee may not be able to seat everyone interested in serving and the election is at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors.

The survey can be found at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MSHCC.
