First NJ Site Of Italian Chocolatier Coming To Short Hills Mall

MILLBURN, NJ — Shoppers at The Mall at Short Hills can now expect to see decadent chocolates, gelato, crepes and more at Venchi Fine Italian Chocolates — the brand's first "ChocoGelateria" in New Jersey.

The new chocolate shop has recently opened at the Short Hills Mall on the first floor across from Macy's. Venchi currently has 135 retail boutiques in 70 countries selling 50 different chocolate recipes and 90 gelato flavors.

Venchi is not the only chocolate shop at the mall. It the Swiss chocolate shop Läderach, which opened this past September.

Even Has A Chocolate Wall

From chocolate fountains to colorful gelato cones and even a chocolate wall, shoppers will be able to taste a variety of treats at Venchi's new location.

The boutique will offer chocolate gift boxes, handmade pralines, chocolate bars and various "pick and mix selections."

The Italian gelato is made fresh daily with recipes from Italy in a variety of flavors. Gourmet cones will also be available with chocolate spread and crunchy grains.

Venchi's "Suprema" crepes use a hazelnut spread in milk or dark chocolate, and shoppers can purchase a jar to take home. Hot chocolate and European-style coffee will also be for sale at Venchi to go along with all the sweet treats.

This new ChocoGelateria joins Venchi's three other United States boutiques all located in New York City, at 861 Broadway, 1796 Broadway, and 233 Bleecker St.

Venchi Italian Chocolate dates back to over 140 years ago when Silviano Venchi — a 20-year-old from Turin, Italy — spent his life savings on two bronze cauldrons to experiment with chocolate.

The brand is now now known for its uniquely named chocolates, such as Chooaviar, Truffles, Gianduiotti, Cremini, Suprema spread, as well as its authentic Italian gelato.
