Free Winter Walking Club Will Help Millburn Adults Exercise Inside Mall
How will you exercise when it's cold or snowy out? The Millburn Health Department has a solution.
MILLBURN, NJ — Too cold to walk outside? The local health department has a solution.
The Millburn and Livingston health departments are offering a joint walking club this winter at the Livngston Mall, 112 Eisenhower Parkway, for residents of both towns.
The department said, "Walking is a great way to get some exercise and offers many health benefits such as helping you to maintain a healthy weight, reducing joint pain, improving balance, reducing the risk of high blood pressure, and more."

The walking club will meet on Fridays through March 24, and kicked off this past Friday.
It will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be no walk on Friday, Feb. 3.

The club is open to adults over the age of 18.
"We will meet inside the mall in front of the former entrance to Lord and Taylor (across from Old Navy) on the second floor and then we walk together for one hour around the second level of the mall," said a release from the department. "Each circular lap around the second level of the mall is about 0.25 miles and you may walk at your own pace."
