Ribbon-Cutting Held For Reopening Of Hotel In Short Hills After 2 Years

MILLBURN, NJ — After closing in May 2020 during the height of the COVID pandemic, the Hilton Short Hills officially reopened Tuesday, as did its restaurant and amenities.

Representatives said the hotel has new health and safety measures and is offering special reopening deals.

The 314-room hotel across from the Mall at Short Hills was recently named among the top 15 hotels in New Jersey by U.S. News and World Report. READ MORE: Here Are NJ's Best Hotels 2022

Town officials and Chamber of Commerce members joined hotel staff for a ribbon cutting.

The celebration included cupcakes from Carlo's Bakery (made famous by "Cake Boss" on TV), with live music from Jersey With Love in the Retreat Bar & Rooftop.

"During its closure, the Hilton Short Hills has taken the time to upgrade public areas and behind-the-scenes infrastructures throughout the property," said a release. "Additionally, Hilton’s CleanStay and EventReady protocols have been implemented which include individually portioned and packaged items available at buffets, along with protective buffet shields and hand sanitizing stations."

The hotel is located at 41 John F. Kennedy Parkway. It's owned by Park Hotels & Resorts.
