Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks has put together an interactive map breaking down the average income of towns in New Jersey and across the country according to data from the 2007-2011 American Community Survey.
In the New Jersey the average middle-class income range is between $63,101.80 to $78,762.60, which Millburn averages well over.
In Millburn, there are three different median household incomes by area starting at $93,241 for the area on the south-west side of town on the border of Summit.
On the high side, the an average for residents is $241,136 near Short Hills and for those on the Maplewood border below the South Mountain Reservation the average is $135,852.
According to the site, the statewide middle range covers Census Tracts which have a median household income higher than the lowest 40 percent -- and lower than the highest 40 percent -- of this state's Census Tracts.
