Local PBA Raises More Than $800 for March of Dimes

Local officers teamed up with California Pizza Kitchen making pizzas and serving tables to raise money for the annual walk.

Members of Millburn Police Officer Benevolent Association Local #34  teamed up with California Pizza Kitchen in the Mall at Short Hills last week to help raise money for the March of Dimes.

From April 1-3, from 6 to 9 p.m., the officers assisted servers, as well as with the operation of the restaurant. With the partnership, 20 percent of the proceeds were donated to the March of Dimes.

The event raised more than $857 for the nine hours of work during the three days.

California Pizza Kitchen has also sponsored a team to walk in the event, where Millburn officers Jamal Poyner will walk with them.

Additionally, Det. Andrew Del Russo's wife has also sponsored a team to walk as well.
