Millburn HS Hosts Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Exam time is stressful for both teachers and students.

So during last week’s midterm exams, one group of students worked to give teachers a lunch break from their proctoring and grading.

During exam week the Applied Academics Class (Life Skills) sold homemade lunches for school staff as a fundraiser to help support the cost of their upcoming class trips and activities.  

On Tuesday, Jan. 29, the last day of exams, the class hosted a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, providing a free lunch of Italian hot dogs, salad, cookies, brownies, water bottles and coffee.

The student’s work did not go unnoticed.

“This was a wonderful experience for the students,” Applied Academics teacher Michele Acitelli said. “They worked extremely hard to prepare for this event. I am so proud of them for their efforts. They truly are an amazing group! I would also like to thank the entire MHS staff for their continued support.”
