For her Bat Mitzvah project, Eliana is working with 'The Blue Card'. She also made a fundraising page for the non-profit.

From The Blue Card: On Monday, January 16, 12-year old Eliana Warner organized making care packages and personalized notes for nonprofit The Blue Card and Holocaust survivors living in New Jersey. The project took place at Congregation B’nai Israel in Millburn as part of their MLK Mitzvah Day.

For her Bat Mitzvah project, which is in September, Eliana is working with The Blue Card throughout the year. She also created a fundraising page for donations that will go to support The Blue Card and Holocaust survivors. Many Bar and Bat Mitzvah students often seek to enrich their experience of this milestone event by strengthening their ties to the global Jewish community and by performing tzedakah, an act of charity.

The Blue Card is a national nonprofit that provides direct, ongoing aid and services to needy Holocaust survivors in the U.S. for most basic needs such as rent, utilities, food, dental care, as well as for emergencies such as medical care and special equipment. Many of the survivors they help live in the New York-New Jersey region. The Blue Card has distributed nearly $30 million to Holocaust survivors date, with 100 percent of annual contributions made by individuals going directly to survivors.
