Pair Drove Utility Vehicle on Train Tracks, Cops Say
The two men allegedly stole a utility vehicle from the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum late Wednesday and drove it on the tracks abandoning it at the Short Hills train station, police say.

Two men were arrested late Wednesday for allegedly driving a utility vehicle on the train tracks in Short Hills, Millburn police said.
The two men were identified as Gregory Morley, 24, of Matawan, and William Deppisch, 25, of Jersey City, according to NJ Transit spokesperson, Nancy Snyder.
According to Capt. Michael Palardy, police repsonded to a report at about 9:30 p.m. of two men driving on the train tracks. Upon arrival, the officers found an abandoned John Deer Gator on the tracks at the Short Hills train station.*

According to the report, two men matching the same description, white shirts and blue jeans, were reported hitchhiking on Short Hills Avenue. Police found the men in Springfield near 300 Short Hills Avenue and were arrested. Police then turned them over to NJ Transit police.
According to Palardy, the utility vehicle was taken from the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum where a garage was found broken into with a large rock.

The pair were charged with obstruction, interferrence of transportation and trespassing.
Morley was release with an unknown court date. Deppisch was turned over to Monmouth County authories for an outstanding warrant.
