Riddell Throws Shutout, Millburn Baseball Advances
Senior Ian Riddell threw his second shutout of the season in the opening round of the NJSIAA.

Senior Ian Riddell threw his second shutout of the season to lift the Millburn High School varsity baseball team to a 6-0 victory over Newark Barringer in Monday's opening round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 playoffs Monday in Millburn.
Riddell improved to 6-0 this season and 16-1 for his career with a tidy, four-hitter that included six strikeouts and no walks.
Max Jacobs came through with a two-run single to break a scoreless tie in the 4th inning for Millburn. Riddell followed with a sacrifice fly and Will Shiebler added an RBI single as Millburn (22-4) extended its lead to 4-0 after four innings.

Millburn, the No. 4 seed in the section, will next host No. 5 seed North Hunterdon in the quarterfinals. The date and time of that game is yet to be determined.
