Police Search for Spring Street Burglar

Millburn Police are searching for a man who allegedly broke into a two-apartment residence on Spring Street on Jan. 14 fleeing with money and electronics. 

Police described the man as between 30 and 35, white, with a thin to medium build, about 5 foot, 9 inches to 6-feet tall, with long brown hair and a ponytail. 

According to the report, when police arrived the first-floor tenant said she returned home and her clothes were all over the floor. The dresser drawers were open. 

According to police, one of the front-door panes was punched out, allowing access to the door lock. 

The second-floor tenant told police when she arrived home at 1:40 p.m. she saw a man standing in the shared driveway.

When the tenant asked the man if she could help him, he covered his face and ran away, cutting through a neighbor’s yard. 

The first-floor tenant reported $300, an Amazon Kindle and a Barnes & Noble Nook were stolen.
