Retiring School Staff to be Recognized, HS Junior to Perform Anti-Drug Song

Here's what is going on in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

On Monday, Millburn's Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for 7:45 p.m in the Education Center.

On the agenda there will be a performance by the high school junior, Nicole Levine, who won the New Jersey Shout Down Drugs Music Contest for her song “I Hope That You’ll Say No.” 

The school board will also recognize retiring staff members in the district and those who volunteered throughout the year.

Recently, the Essex County Clerk approved 17-year-old Chase Harrison to join the November elections along with three incumbents and other new-comers.

Also on Monday, at 6:30 p.m. the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum in Short Hills will host a free outdoor community yoga classes presented by CAN DO Fitness Clubs.

On Tuesday, all 5th Grade Band, Chorus and Orchestra students will perform at Millburn High School at 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Wyoming Elementary School will host its annual Strawberry Festival. Over the last few weeks, Hartshorn and Glenwood schools have hosted their festivals drawing hundreds. 

On Friday, the Downtown Millburn Farmers Market continues in its 21st year behind Town Hall. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
