Sandy Impacted Close to 1,500 Millburn Businesses
A recent statewide study shows 1,464 township businesses were affected by the storm and 104 residents with property damage, four of which were considered major.

More than 1,500 Millburn residents and businesses were impacted by Superstorm Sandy last October.
The report shows 100 residences had an estimated damage of under $8,000 while four had major damage. No rental units were reported damaged.
Although the storm affected a total of 1,464 businesses throughout Millburn, no residences were reported severely damaged.

Statewide, nearly 87,000 housing units were damaged. About 12,500 of those sustained major damage or were destroyed.
According to the data, minor damage is considered up to $8,000, major damage is defined as costing between $8,000 to $28,800 and severe damage is more than $28,800.
