Short Hills Couple To Open Swim School In Union County In Fall
The Millburn couple will open their new learn-to-swim facility in Union County in fall. They already run one in Livingston.
MILLBURN, NJ — Goldfish Swim School, a national chain of learn-to-swim facilities, has announced that its newest 8,550 square foot facility is under construction in Springfield.
"As parents to three kids and operators of Goldfish Swim School Livingston since 2017, we understand how important water safety is to all families," said owner Larisa Posner of Short Hills, who, with husband Jeffrey, runs the Livingston facility and will run the new one.
She added, "We want to make sure kids in our community have the skills they need to be safe in and around water. We are thrilled to bring the Goldfish curriculum, high quality instruction and state-of-the-art facility to more local families."

Goldfish uses a perpetual lesson model so families can enroll at any time and kids progress through the curriculum at their own pace. Goldfish offers convenient scheduling options and families can easily book makeup classes when necessary.
In addition to swim lessons, Goldfish Swim School Springfield offers weekly family swims (for both members and non-members) and party packages. Facility highlights include an air-conditioned viewing gallery for parents to watch lessons, individual/private changing rooms, a blow dry station, snack bar, retail shop and warm, tropical décor.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children participate in regular, high quality swim lessons starting at age one, the company notes.
COVID Protocols
Goldfish Swim Schools have implemented COVID-19 safety protocols in all of their facilities as part of their Safer. Stronger. Together initiative to ensure the safest environment possible for staff and swimmers.
"Our team wants to ensure that children have a safe, fun, and friendly place to learn how to swim,” said Larisa Posner.
Families can pre-register for lessons now by visiting the website or calling 973-671-5544. Connect with the Goldfish team on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates on opportunities to tour the facility.
