Here's what is going on in Millburn-Short Hills this week.

This week in Millburn, the religious festivities switched the Board of Education's meeting date to Sunday evening.

The 2013-2014 school budget was approved at the meeting. The tax increase will increase taxes for residents about $15 per $100,000 property valuation. For example, for a township home assessed at $1,000,000, taxes will increase an estimated $151.

On Monday, the Jewish festival of Passover begins at sundown. For a schedule of Passover services at Congregation B'nai Jeshurun and Congregation B'nai Israel head to their websites.

Also on Monday, over at Town Hall, the Lackawanna Coalition is scheduled to meet on the second floor at 7:30 p.m. 

On Wednesday, New Eyes For The Needy is holding its last open house from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to welcome community members to try their hand at volunteering here at New Eyes – no strings attached.

On Thurday, the Millburn Old Guard is set to meet at 10:30 a.m. at the George Bauer Community Center for its weekly meeting. 

On Friday, all municipal government offices will be closed for Good Friday.
