Workers At Apple Store In Short Hills Mall Are Trying To Unionize
Employees at an Apple store in a New Jersey mall are trying to form a labor union, records show.

SHORT HILLS, NJ — Workers at an Apple store in a New Jersey mall are trying to form a labor union, with more than 100 employees recently filing a petition to unionize with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
The petition was filed on Monday by the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO. It involves 104 employees who work for Apple Inc. in Short Hills, NLRB records show.
Apple’s retail store in Short Hills is located inside The Mall at Short Hills at 1200 Morris Turnpike.

A member of the organizing committee at the Short Hills store said the local unionization drive is inspired by their Apple colleagues in Oklahoma City and Towson, Maryland, who have each formed unions.
Apple told Reuters that the company has “always paid our retail teams in the top tier of the market and we provide exceptional and comprehensive benefits for all full- and part-time employees.”
