$60-70K Worth of Smart Phones Stolen, Police Say

Verizon store on South Park Street had dozens of smart phones stolen.

A major telecommunications company with a store in Montclair was burglarized and dozens of cellular smart phones worth tens of thousands of dollars were taken last weekend, according to police. 

The burglar alarm sounded at the Verizon store, at 46 S. Park St., at around 12:30 a.m. on March 9. When Montcliar Police arrived, it was discovered someone had smashed in the front glass door to enter the store, according to police.

Police officers found no one inside when they arrived.

A metal cabinet in the rear of the office was found pried open. Missing from the cabinet were approximately 50 to 60 cellular smart phones, valued between $60,000 to $70,000.
