89-Year-Old Woman Dies In Montclair Fire: Prosecutor

MONTCLAIR – An 89-year-old woman died in a fire in Montclair on Friday, authorities said.

Delia V. West died in the fire at her home, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.

West lived in the Walnut Crescent Street alone, prosecutors said.

The fire happened on Friday around 3:15 p.m., and firefighters stopped the blaze soon after.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. An investigation is underway, prosecutors said.
