Adopt This Montclair Feline: Grimwald

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year by welcoming a new friendly feline into your home. 

This white and orange cat's name is Grimwald and he is up for adoption at the Montclair Township Animal Shelter.

Grimwald is nine years old and he came in as a stray. He is exceptionally friendly, loves to get his belly rubbed and is good with kids. However, he is not a fan of dogs and the shelter recommends he be the only cat in a household. 

Grimwald is neutered and is up to date on all his shots. The adoption fee is $100 for a cat.

The Montclair Township Animal Shelter is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 2 and 6 p.m.; and Thursdays through Sundays between 2 and 4 p.m. Also available by appointment during nonpublic hours.

The Montclair Animal Shelter is consistently in need of supplies, donations and animal food. The shelter is currently looking for the following:  

• Empty cardboard egg cartons
• Cardboard drink holders (such as those provided at coffee shops)
• Old metal muffin or cupcake baking tins
• Metal buckets (in good condition)
• Small mirrors
• Sealed dog/cat food, treats, toys
• Rabbit food, toys
• Bleach
• Trash bags
• Paper towels
• Non-clumping kitty litter
• Laundry detergent
• Liquid hand soap and sanitizer 
• Used but cleaned linens – towels, blankets, pet beds, sheets, etc.
• Shallow cardboard trays
• Newspapers – for lining cages
