The courses offered include technology classes geared toward beginners and advanced users; art classes; literature classes; exercise classes; a book club for adults and a mini-course on how to develop personalized parent-child book discussion groups.

As Glenfield is the district’s vibrant visual and performing arts magnet, the stage is set for success with an amazing dance and yoga studio, inspiring art classrooms, and, as Director of Technology and Chief Academic officer Howard Weinrib boasts, “We house the district’s impressive Classroom of the Future at Glenfield, a state of the art technology lab — fully equipped to accommodate students of all ages and levels of expertise, and we look forward to bringing this experience to the adult community.”

The vision of the satellite program includes a celebration series featuring local filmmakers, authors, visual and performing artists, scholars, entrepreneurs and public figures, while primarily focusing on the needs of working adults and families.

Courses on getting back into the work force, financial planning, retirement planning and small business start-ups are in the planning stages.
