Assault With Fake Handgun Leads to Arrest of 4 Teens

Teenagers flashed a black BB gun replica of a semi-automatic Beretta in Glenfield Park and were later arrested nearby, police said.

Four teenagers were arrested last week for assaulting people in Glenfield Park with a fake handgun, according to police.

Police received a call about an assault in the park on April 18 at around 10:30 p.m. The individuals told police several young men had pointed what they believed to be a gun at them and then fled in a four-door vehicle, according to reports.

The police found and pulled over a car matching the description given to them by the victims. When the four teenagers in the car were asked to exit the vehicle, police observed a handle of a gun sticking out of a red book bag in the back seat.
