Burglar Rides Off With Bike Worth $3K

A men’s road bike worth more than $3,000 is one of three bicycles reported stolen to Montclair Police last week.
A Harrison Avenue resident told police his silver Trek, which had been stored in the open garage of his home, was missing.
The bike had three items mounted on it, a case under the seat, a trip computer on the handlebars and a silver tire pump on the frame, the owner told police. The approximate value of the stolen items is $3,300.

The garage is believed to have been burglarized between noon and 6:20 p.m. Friday, police said.
A resident of Gordonhurt Avenue reported his silver and gray Cannondale bicycle and $300 in cash missing from his apartment Friday.

Police said a burglar is believed to have entered and exited through a window after the air conditioner was pushed into the apartment.
A woman on South Fullerton Avenue told police on May 6 her green Cannondale road bicycle was missing. She said she last saw the bike when she left it in her locked garage on May 3.
The woman said the superintendent has keys and occasionally gives workers access to the area. The garage was not broken into, police said.
