Cops: Trio Instigated Fight, Stole Jackets at Popeye's
The Friday night fight caused a disturbance at the Lackawanna Plaza restaurant.
Three teens picked a fight in a Montclair Popeye’s and then stole their victims’ jackets Friday, according to a report.
Eighteen year olds Justin Davis and Elijah Williams, along with an unnamed juvenile, walked into the Lackawanna Plaza chicken joint and started a ruckus with two people inside just after 8 p.m. last Friday, nj.com reported.
Davis allegedly reached into his jacket and said “we don’t fight, we shoot” before spitting on the victims, according to the report. Based on the news story, it’s not clear if anyone involved actually had a weapon.

A brawl ensued and when the restaurant owner tried to step in to break it up, cops said, Davis, Williams and the juvenile stole a pair of jackets from their victims and ran.
Police found Williams hiding in a nearby alley and charged him with theft and disorderly conduct.

Davis and the juvenile were arrested Saturday. Davis was charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, theft and disorderly conduct. The charges against the juvenile were now announced.
