Dredging Continues at Edgemont Park [Photos]

Dredging has begun at Montclair's Edgemont Park pond after the water was drained last week. 

On Wednesday, crews using earth-moving machines removed soil from the pond and transferred it to another area of the park. 

You can see the progress of the work above in the photo gallery above. Check back for weekly updates as Montclair Patch follows the construction. 

The parking lot will be closed to traffic at various times while construction is in progress. Walking paths and baseball fields will remain open to the public. 

Work at the park began on March 4. The township council approved the project in January, which came with an approximate $800,000 price tag.
