Man, Woman Found Dead in Montclair Park
Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman, whose bodies were found in Canterbury Park Thursday night.

Authorities are investigating a grisly scene at Canterbury Park, where a half-naked woman and a man were found dead late Thursday night.
The man and the woman, who were not identified, were pronounced dead shortly after 10 p.m., Essex County Chief of Detectives Anthony Ambrose told NJ.com.
Montclair Police and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, along with more than a dozen local and county police units surrounded the typically quiet park in the township's 4th Ward late Thursday night.

At 11:15 p.m., the pair were still lying on the ground in front of a park bench near a children's playground. The woman, who was only partially clothed, lay face up, and covered in blood, while the man was face down near her feet.
A woman who appeared to know the victims arrived at the park around 12:30 a.m., and broke down sobbing.

"Why would anyone do this?" she screamed, as three police officers comforted her.
The park, which borders Glen Ridge, West Orange and Orange, is located between two cul-de-sacs, Planchet and Pierpont Drive.
The park has been taped off, with multiple flood lights turned on throughout.
