Meeting Focuses on Fourth Ward Tragedy, League Holds Senate Candidate Forum in the Week Ahead

Councilwoman Renee Bakserville and the Fourth Ward Collaborative have changed the agenda of Tuesday's community meeting to focus on the recent tragic events in Canterbury Park. Details of the murder-suicide will be shared and ways to support and secure the community in the future will be discussed. The public meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Montclair Fire Headquarters second floor training room, 1 Pine St.
Montclair Public Schools will hold the third community strategic planning forum on Tuesday, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Mt. Hebron School, 173 Bellevue Ave. The topic for this forum is Central Services and Leadership/Accountability. See the district's Strategic Planning page for details.

Montclair's Memorial Day observation will take place on Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m., in Edgemont Park. Due to construction work in the area of the pond, the ceremony will be held in the field near Edgemont School, accessible by EdgemontRoad.
