Learn the History of the Blues Saturday at Montclair Art Museum
Musician Mimi Jones will lead a blues history lesson which will include a performance.
Drop into the Montclair Art Museum Saturday for a blues history lesson with special guest Mimi Jones.
Jones, a bass player, will lead a blues history lesson focusing on the origin, structure, and affects on the music throughout our time, in addition to a performance that will include audience participation for all ages.
The event beings at 12:30 p.m. at the museum, located at 3 S. Mountain Ave. Adults must bring children in order to attend the event.

The blues lesson is part of WBGO's Kids Jazz Concert Series, a free concert series bringing jazz culture and performance to your neighborhood.
WBGO presents these concerts during the spring and fall on Saturday afternoons. These interactive, hour-long concerts give kids opportunities to learn about the distinct qualities of jazz, and why it's a reflection of our community, our nation, and our world.
