Montclair Art Museum Offers Free Admission To Active Military Members, Their Families

Staring Memorial Day and running until Labor Day, active duty military members and their families will receive free admission to the Montclair Art Museum.

As the nation honors it veterans on Memorial Day, the Montclair Art Museum will participate in Blue Star Museums as its way of giving back to those who have served the country.

Blue Star Museums is a program in alignment with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 2,000 museums nationwide that provides free admission to active military personnel and their families.

Members may participate in the program starting Monday until Labor Day. This is the MAM's fifth consecutive year offering free admission.

“We’re very pleased to be part of this nationwide effort to honor members of the armed services and their families, “ said MAM Director Lora Urbanelli. “In celebration of the Museum’s Centennial Year, our exhibitions this summer focus on New Jersey and the strengths of MAM’s collection."

Service members are also invited to the MAM's summer programs, including tours and learning labs to put them in touch with cultural resources in the community.
