Plans Developing For Montclair’s Aging Municipal, Police Facilities
"We have been delaying needed action on these key facilities for many years."

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A public workshop will take place in Montclair after the new year to discuss what to do about the town’s aging municipal and police facilities.
The Montclair Township Council’s Facilities and Infrastructure Committee will hold the workshop at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14 in the council chambers at Town Hall, 205 Claremont Avenue. It will also be livestreamed and a video of the event archived on the township’s YouTube channel. Learn more here.
The workshop will include a discussion about potential options and design concepts for housing the township’s primary municipal offices, as well as the Montclair Police Department.

“We have been delaying needed action on these key facilities for many years, and now is the time to make decisions about cost-effective solutions,” Councilor At-Large William Harrison said.
“I’m looking forward to working through all the options we have identified, many from residents,” said First Ward Councilor Erik D’Amato, who chairs the committee.
