Montclair Hosts Prescription Drug Take Back on Saturday

People can dispose of unwanted prescription drugs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Montclair Police Department headquarters on April 27.

Montclair will host a proscription drug buyback this weekend. 

The Montclair Police Department will take part in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Montclair Police Department headquarters, located at 647 Bloomfield Ave.

The service is free and anonymous, and no questions will be asked. The prescription drug buyback is for people to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs.

In the five previous drug buyback events, the DEA has worked in conjunction with state, local, and tribal law enforcement partners to remove more than 2 million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medications from circulation.
