Montclair Kicks Off Super Bowl With NFL Draft Thursday

Commentary at the party will be provided by Montclair TV34's Three Wise Men, Mike from Montclair, Al from White Plains and Dennis from Yonkers.

Montclair will begin leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII with an NFL Draft Night party on Thursday, April 25. 

The Montclair 2014 Committee will organize the party at The Clubhouse, located at 131 Glenridge Ave., between 7:30 and 11 p.m. Watch the NFL draft on television as it happens live from Radio City Music Hall.

Commentary at the kickoff party will be provided by Montclair TV34’s Three Wise Men — WFAN call-in faves Mike from Montclair and his fellow sports aficionados Al from White Plains and Dennis from Yonkers.

The event will also include a tailgate pig roast and barbecue by Craftbar restaurant executive chef Lauren Hirschberg, who is also a featured New York celebrity chef at the Giants Coaches Club. Wine will be provided by Angelbeck’s of Montclair and beer by Brooklyn Brewery. There will be games, prizes and more. 

Tickets are $30.

Reserve your spot by sending an email to rsvp@montclair2014.com. Pre-registered names will be held at the door.

Payment can be made in advance by mailing a check made out to "Super Bowl Committee" and sent to: Township of Montclair/Manager, 205 Claremont Ave., Montclair, NJ 07042.

On draft night, Mayor Robert Jackson and Montclair 2014 Committee Chairman David Keys will fill everyone in on the committee’s event lineup of activities, films and food that will be scheduled throughout the year which will culminate in a series of special events leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII during the week of Jan. 25, 2013.
