ACT-SO is a year-long enrichment program under that aegis of the NAACP. Students work with volunteers and mentors to help produce a project in various educational categories, such as math, science, computer science, music, business and architecture.
This is the third year that Montclair has sponsored a team and there have been great results. In 2011, Sara Meretab went on to be a national bronze medalist in mathematics, and in 2012 Jackie Barnes went on to be a national silver medalist in architecture.
