Montclair Student Athlete Cheered For His 'Respect, Honesty'
College coaches need to take notice of this Montclair teen athlete, a trainer says.

"I have had the pleasure of training Jake for the past two years of his high school career at Char Fitness Club. He is standout not only for his work ethic, but his continued efforts in the community and in the classroom. I would love for Jake to be recognized not for his sports achievements but his character as a young man. He walks when he can’t get a ride, helps other if they need it and never emphasizes his own abilities, he is a humble, gentle giant standing at 6’4 and 270."
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete, Patch asked? Tate's reply:
"Well, selfishly, I’d like this to get into any college coaches hands to understand what type of individual Jake is and how much of an impact he would make for their team. Every coach says 'do the little things' ... well, Jake does those AND the big things. He volunteers at his church often, I believe does work for Toni's Kitchen, and lends a hand whenever it’s needed. Shows up early, stays late. Respectful and honest. He’s just a quality kid."
Keep up the great work, Jake!
