MPD "Mitten Tree" Drive Brings Cold Weather Items to Those in Need
The Montclair PD delivered winter essentials to MESH to provide help for those in need of winter gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets.

From Montclair PD: Members of the Montclair Police Department (MPD) delivered gloves, scarves, hats and blankets to the Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless (MESH) last Friday, February 3. The clothing and other cold weather items were collected during a month-long “Mitten Tree” drive organized by the MPD in conjunction with the Montclair Municipal Court and Boiling Springs Bank.
The “Mitten Tree” drive, held in Police Headquarters, asked members of the community to donate the items so they could be distributed to those in need during this cold time of year. Boiling Springs Banks also took collection of items at their Watchung Avenue location.
MESH is a charitable 501(c) (3) organization that works to address issues of suburban homelessness in and around Montclair, NJ.
