Police: Three Men Found Stabbed, Bleeding on Elm Street

Two teenagers and a 20-year-old from Montclair were unable to identify a group who attacked them Monday night on the street.

Montclair police found three township men stabbed shortly before midnight Monday on the corner of Elm Street and Elmwood Avenue, officials said. 

Police found the three men in front of the Montclair Fellowship Tabernacle around 11:30 p.m. All three — ages 18, 19 and 20 — were bleeding from stab wounds, according to police reports. 

The three men told police they were attacked by a group while walking on Fulton Street, but could not identify anyone in the group. The men added the attack was unprovoked, according to the report.

Another victim in the attack — a 19-year-old from Newark — was found walking on nearby Fulton Street. The Newark man's jacket was slashed and torn, but he was uninjured, according to reports. 

The three injured men were transported to University Hospital in Newark for non-life threatening injuries.
