Q104.3's Carol Miller Visits School of Rock Montclair
Longtime voice of New York rock radio will talk to students about Jimi Hendrix as they prepare for Hendrix tribute concert at Just Jake's.

School of Rock Montclair students will be getting a lesson on Jimi Hendrix from longtime New York radio personality and author Carol Miller.
Miller will visit the school on Saturday, June 1 as the students prepare to perform a couple of two-hour Hendrix tribute concerts on June 22 at Mexicali Live in Teaneck and on June 23 at Just Jake’s in Montclair.
The students have been rehearsing the legendary rocker’s greatest hits since February.

“We’re honored and thrilled to have a respected music professional of Carol’s stature visiting us,” Matt Sandoski, owner of School of Rock Montclair, said in a release. “Our students and faculty are extremely excited for Carol to give us her personal thoughts about Jimi’s extraordinary impact on rock n’ roll, which is still being felt today.”
Miller who has been an integral part of the New York music scene for more than 40 years will share personal anecdotes about Hendrix with the School of Rock Musicians.

She can be heard every weeknight on New York’s classic rock station WAXQ/Q104.3 from 7 p.m. to midnight, daily on Sirius XM, and across America as the host of the nationally syndicated radio program, “Get the Led Out”.
"The School of Rock has a reputation as a top-notch music education program, and their students are really fortunate to attend,” Miller said in a release. “I can't wait to meet them."
Before joining Q104.3 in 2004, Miller was heard on WNEW-FM and WPLJ. Her career is detailed in her autobiography Up All Night: My Life and Times in Rock Radio (Ecco/Harper Collins).
