State Sen. Nia Gill and Opponent Mark Alexander Face Off at Forum
Democratic candidates will answer questions from League of Women Voters of the Montclair area on May 23.

The League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area will hold a forum with New Jersey State Senate candidates vying for the Democratic nomination in the June 4 primary.
The moderated forum will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 7 p.m., in the auditorium at the Charles H. Bullock Elementary School, 55 Washington St., in Montclair.
Incumbent State Sen. Nia Gill (D-Essex) is being challenged by Mark Alexander, a professor of Constitutional Law at Seton Hall University and President Barack Obama’s state director for the 2008 primary. Both candidates are residents of Montclair.

At the forum, each candidate will provide a background statement and will answer questions provided by the League. The candidates will then take questions from the public.
The forum will be moderated by Dawn Clarke of the Union Area League.
