UPDATE: Road Closures in Montclair

UPDATE: The Montclair Police announced Walnut Street will still be closed between Forest Street and North Fullerton Avenue until 11 p.m. due to road construction. Police advise motorists to use Chestnut Street or Claremont Avenue as alternate routes.

The Montclair Police Department informed residents of several road closures due to construction in the township.

Construction has closed Walnut Street between Park Street and Midland Avenue and will require a detour of traffic until at least 5 p.m., police said.

Motorists should use Chestnut Street or Claremont Avenue as alternate routes.

Additionally, police said Grove Street will be closed due to road construction between Overlook Avenue and Alexander Avenue, also requiring a traffic detour until at least 5 p.m.

Drivers should use Park Street as an alternate route.
