Violinist Suzanne Wagor and Pianist Mansson Kim of the MSU Cali School to perform at Van Vleck

Van Vleck House and Gardens announces concert series dates with the first concert to be held on October 19 at 2:00 p.m.

Continuing their successful concert collaboration, Van Vleck House & Gardens and Montclair State University announced their third annual series of five Sunday concerts, beginning on October 19.

These concerts welcome faculty, student and visiting artists to perform at the historic Van Vleck property in the heart of Montclair. All the concerts open to the public with no charge for admission.

The first concert of this season features three contrasting sonatas from the Classical, Romantic and modern periods, each written at a different stage of the composer’s life. The sonatas will be performed by violinist Suzanne Wagor, and pianist Mansoon Kim. Dr. Kim is a respected and experienced performer and teacher and is currently an Adjunct Professor at the John J. Cali School of Music. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Ms. Wagor is a founder and Artistic Director of Five Seasons Chamber Music.

Attracting talented students, faculty, and visiting artists from around the world, the Cali School has shared its music resources with a growing audience through this series, which offers the public a chance to hear a variety of classical music styles performed by accomplished artists and their students.

Additional concerts in this series are scheduled for November 9, March 1, March 22 and April 12 all Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Reserved seating is available by contacting 973-744-4752 or info@vanvleck.org. Seating is limited, so reservations are required. Previous concerts have over-subscribed. There is no admission charge, but contributions are welcome.
