Wilhelm B. Young was sworn in as a Lieutenant of the Montclair Police Department earlier this week during a ceremony held in township Council Chambers. Lt. Young started his career with the Montclair Police Department in 1993. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in September 2004 and to Lieutenant during the August 26 ceremony.Lt. Young has served the department in various assignments including the Narcotics Bureau, Detective Bureau, Firearms Instructor, Critical Response Team (CRT) member, and the Street Crimes Unit (SCU) Commander.Lt. Young pictured left.
